In Order. What's The Secret?

April 22, 2017. Psalm 6, 8-10, 14, 16, 19, 20.

Ahhhh….let’s look and listen closely to these Psalms written by David.

Now it is important to know this about David.

(Acts 13:22) After He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all My will.

What we as humans expect is often opposite of what the LORD brings about.

(Psalm 6:4) Return, O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies sake!

As believers we may cry out why, even though we trust in God.

Did you know that the God of creation wants to commune with each of us daily?

(Psalm 8:4) What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?

All of creation shouts of His presence and His initial purpose to have a platform for God and mankind to fellowship together.  This chapter ends as it begins…maybe a reminder that the main character and theme of the Bible is God!

When our “I will’s” are evidence of an intimate daily relationship with God, He shows up with the “you haves” that are praise worthy! (Psalm 9:1-5) When the Lord or His people are opposed He takes actions toward the enemy.

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. (Psalm 9:10)

Guess what? We live in a fallen world because of sin! Augustine wrote about every human being created with a God-shaped hole. Fallen humanity tries to fill it with temporal/earthly things. Nothing But God Can Fill It!!

When we put our faith in the Lord, the result is His security, even in death! (Psalm 16:9-11). We can have peace, rest and joy in knowing that we have a life of eternal fellowship with God! He is faithful to His followers!

God reveals who He is by what He does, not only through His creation, but also by His guidelines. (Psalm 19:1-11) Let your revealing prayer be (Psalm 19:14) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight.

May we always know that God is aware of our problems, amazingly pursuing us, and is the answer to all human need! (Psalm 20:1a) May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble…

God Himself, as our heavenly father has made sure we have an inheritance through His son Jesus!

The true secret is to believe as David did in the One True God!

Make sure today that you know David’s secret!
