In Order. Our Help

April 20, 2017. Psalm 121, 123-125, 126-130.

If our phone is not working properly we will head to the nearest Verizon or AT&T to have it looked at, if our car is in need of repair we take it to our local car repair shop, if we are sick we make an appointment with our doctor. We access the need, and proceed with the appropriate action that will help us best in that moment.

When life gets heavy and things aren’t going our way we tend to look within. Our thoughts and words can become negative and primarily about us. We desperately try to fix what’s broken.

Where does “our help” come from? Is it really as simple as lifting up our heads? Can we honestly say that our help comes from the LORD? Can we believe that He is our keeper? Does He really want to preserve our souls?

God is the Help of Those Who Seek Him…..

The LORD is your keeper. The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day nor the moon by night. (Psalm 121 5-6) NKJV

I will lift up my eyes to the hill from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121 1-2) NKJV

God is all powerful and all sufficient for us. Where do you expect your help to come from? Is your confidence in the One True God?

You see when we lift our head up…our eyes look beyond ourselves and the circumstance. We choose in the moment to look in the right direction!

When we cry out to the Lord because of sin that has caused despair in our lives, we urgently want to be heard for forgiveness and deliverance. Be encouraged to wait confidently and expectantly for the God who abundantly forgives those who obey and fear Him.

Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. (Psalm 128:1) NKJV

Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. (Psalm 125 1-2) NKJV

Here is a picture of God as a surrounding shelter from the winds of life with no easy access for the enemy to enter. By committing to God Himself in all His glory and favor we can be safe and under His protection.

The LORD so wants to be on your side, He took your part, He is not only for you, but with you. The Lord is your helper!!
