In Order. Keep Quiet

In Order. Keep Quiet
There are many times when we feel it is necessary to open our mouths and speak when in reality, thay may not be the best move. Sometimes we may feel we have to defend our point of view or an action that we made and that results in an argument and fueling a fire that needs no added fuel.
Ever heard the saying “actions speak louder than words”? This is something that everyone should be more conscious of. Defending something by our words is not always enough and a lot of times we could argue with someone till we are blue in the face and still get nowhere, except maybe ruining a relationship. Even Christ kept quiet when he knew there was no point in arguing.
Matthew 27:12-14
When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.
Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?
But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge – to the great amazement of the governor.
Mark 15:3-5
The chief priests accused him of many things.
So again Pilate asked him, “Aren’t you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you of.”
But Jesus still made no reply, and Pilate was amazed.
The people had already made up their mind, and Jesus knew this and knew that his Father had a plan for him. So what would have been the point in arguing? After they had hung him on the cross they still continued to mock him and taunt him and yet he still kept quiet, enduring the torture and agony. When Jesus finally gave up his spirit, God made it known by splitting the curtain in the temple, shaking the earth, splitting rocks, and breaking open tombs. Scaring those around who had watched.
Mark 15:54
When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saaw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”
In the end Christ’s actions proved he was the Son of God, and those who mocked him could not deny the truth. There was no room for doubt after witnessing that. Even though you want to speak your mind and defend your beliefs, thoughts, or actions; sometimes it is better to keep quiet and let your actions speak for you. God has a way of shining his light through you if you let him.
